I’m not DJing this week, but there’s so much to do in town that I’m looking forward to going out just for fun. The list below is a small sample of L.A. music events for this week, including some killer live shows and DJ events with low or no covers, one record swap and a few reasonably priced film screenings.
Just so you know, I try to keep these lists budget-friendly. Unless it’s really special, I post events that are $30 and under. Usually, they’re well under $30. I do this for two reasons. One is that life is really expensive right now and it can seem like going out is just too much. But, there’s also the second thing, which is that there are so many venues, promoters, bands and DJs putting together events with low or no covers in Los Angeles. The problem is that these are the events that usually get buried under the glut of ads on socials.
All that said, go out and have a good time. If you make it to any of the events listed below, let me know.
And, in case you’re wondering, I’ll be back on the decks on Friday, February 23 for Club Synth at Stowaway with DJs Drayk and Jen Rock.
